“This is our country”
I was watching Television the other day, and I saw this Chevy Silverado commercial…The music in the background is from the John Mellencamp song “Our Country.”
The only lyrics we hear from the song are “This is our country”
Guys, that’s fucked up. I don’t even know what message they’re trying to get across. Well I think I do.
“Hey all your Arabs and Chinese and Mexicans…GET OUT. This is OUR country. America FTW
P.S. BUY OUR TRUX and fuk OSAMA. ”
Is it even possible for that slogan to have a politically correct interpretation? Or am I just overly sensitive?
Now, the only way I would let this slide is if Chevy was owned by Native Americans. That would be comedy.
